@DS: Thanks for your comments. Please feel free to revert my edits, if the originals look better on your screen. I noted your photos, because they needed a category since 2019. On my screen, the originals were displayed with a purple haze. I tried to edit them using GIMP, but I am not fully haopy with the results. Thus, feel free to revert, as you are the original uploader. --NearEMPTiness (talk) 02:24, 25 June 2025 (UTC)

Hello. You added a category to this image File:DEBARCADERE.jpg (I took it back). Why do you think this image was taken in Geneva (Switzerland)?!?! It doesn't look like. MHM (talk) 14:04, 14 July 2025 (UTC)

@MHM Thank you very much for your vigilance and useful action. I found the photo of "Débarcadère Perle du Lac", and did not understand that Débarcadère is just a French word for landing stage or pier. I fully agree that the photo has been taken more likely in Mauritius as the other uploads of this photographer. --NearEMPTiness (talk) 17:11, 14 July 2025 (UTC)

Wrong Categories, because of misleading file-name

What let's you assume that this lake is in Kodaikanal, let alone in India. When I deleted the categories, I should have also renamed the filename, because that is the only association with Kodaikanal. But as these file-names show Von Govindaraj Mahalakshmi hochgeladene Dateien – Wikimedia Commons, they are indeed only personal associations. This is not in Kodaikanal. No Watermill there, Different architecture, different landscape, clothing of fisherman. Wuselig (talk) 22:09, 16 July 2025 (UTC)

Dear Wuselig: Thank you very much for your help. My assumption is only based on the name in the title of this photo. The wrong category was chosen as part of categorising 100,000 or more photos.
